True Record brings official government documents to iPhone, narrated in their own words
Takgio’s new app reads Supreme Court opinions, congressional committee reports and Congressional Research Service reports verbatim. No panel, no commentary, no spin.
True Record, an app from Takgio, is now available on the App Store for iPhone. Released on October 14, 2026, it narrates official United States government documents — Supreme Court opinions, Congressional Research Service reports and congressional committee reports — read verbatim from the official published text. No panel. No commentary. No spin. The document, start to finish.
“People argue about what a decision or a report says, and almost nobody reads it. We built True Record so you can hear the document itself, start to finish, with every side’s views read and attributed.”Ted Takvorian, President & Chief Executive Officer, Takgio
What’s in the app
- The document, start to finish. Every narration is the official published text, read verbatim. Nothing is editorialized, summarized or paraphrased.
- Every view, attributed. Where a document has dissenting or minority views, they are read and attributed, each its own chapter, with All, Majority and Dissents filters.
- Read along. A transcript that highlights the sentence being spoken, free for every document, in three text sizes.
- A free way in. A 15-second preview of any document, the Reporter’s syllabus in full, and the read-along transcript, with no subscription.
- Follow what matters. Follow the Supreme Court, a committee or a topic for one plain, factual alert the morning a document lands, never more than one a day. Free with an account.
- Built for listening. Speeds from 0.8× to 2×, skip back 30 and forward 15 seconds, lock-screen and headphone controls, and offline downloads with Pro.
- No ads, no tracking. No advertising, analytics or tracking. Sign in with Apple, Google or an emailed code; no passwords.

The launch catalog
The launch catalog holds four documents, about 5 hours 56 minutes of narration: a Supreme Court opinion with each of its separate opinions (3 h 12 m), a House committee report (2 h 20 m), and two Congressional Research Service reports (about 12 minutes each).
Before a word is read, every abbreviation of two letters or more is spelled out: 2,351 instances across 15 documents in production, zero remaining. The quality check refuses to approve a document while one remains, and a person spot-listens to every release before it ships.
Pricing and availability
True Record is available now on the App Store for iPhone and is rated 18+ on its App Store page. The 15-second preview, the Reporter’s syllabus and the read-along transcript are free. Pro, for full narrations, dissents and concurrences, and offline downloads, is $4.99 per month or $39.99 per year with a 7-day free trial on the annual plan.
